A team from Lambeth took the bronze medal when competing against 750 over 55-year-olds at the 2015 Better Club Games, held on Tuesday 17 November 2015.

Participants took part in nine sports including walking football, badminton, short tennis, table tennis, darts, short mat bowls, timed cycle, timed swim and dominoes
Last year’s winners Greenwich were pipped to the post by the events overall winners Epsom & Ewell, while a delighted team Lambeth secured third place.

TV actress Catherine Russell, who plays consultant Serena Russell on BBC’s Holby City, presented winners with their awards (see picture above).

Carol Cross, Lambeth’s team captain, said: “Coming third is just amazing. It’s incredible. It was my aim this year to come in the top three so to come third accomplishes all my aspirations. I’m just so overwhelmed and so happy for everyone.”
