The Big London Energy Switch includes a number of London authorities working together to get a better deal on electricity and gas for residents through an auction process. The company offering the cheapest deal on the day gets to offer you a new contract. However, there is no obligation to sign up to a new provider, so you have nothing to lose by registering.
Key Dates for the next auction:
16 May 2016 – deadline for registration. You can register easily at www.BigLondonEnergySwitch.org.uk, or call 020 7926 1000.
17 May 2016 – auction starts and the company offering the cheapest deal on the day gets to offer you a new contract.
30 May 2016 – personal offer letter sent to you showing if you will save money. Only then do you have to decide whether you wish to accept the offer.
28 June 2016– if you wish to accept the offer, your contract must be returned by this date.
