There is something for everyone to enjoy over the festive period and most activities are free. Here is our pick of things to do and places to visit…

Saturday 13 December

Herne Hill Christmas Fair
11am – 5pm, FREE.
Local celebrities, animals, food, stands and wonderful Herne Hill folk to meet and talk to (such as the Society’s committee).
Station Square and Half Moon Lane.

London Gospel Festival Tour
11am – 6pm, FREE.
Streatham Common, Streatham High Road, SW16

Festive Lights
4pm-8pm, FREE.
An illuminated light show with carol singing, mulled wine and hot food and children’s activities. Opened by local MP, Dame Tessa Jowell. St Luke’s Church, corner of Norwood Road and Knights Hill Road.

Beaufoy Christmas Market
12 noon-6pm, FREE.
A fabulous Christmas market in the beautiful Beaufoy Institute, with craft stalls, live music, childrens workshops and a cafe selling cakes and hot drinks. Beaufoy Institute, 39 Black Prince Road SE11.

West End Winter Wonderland Christmas show
Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 December, 12 noon-6pm.
Featuring over 80 local children and adults showcasing their skills to a selection of West End show tunes everybody knows and loves.

Christmas market, Myatt’s Fields Park

A Christmas market  around the bandstand in Myatt’s Fields Park on Sunday 14 December will be followed by carol singing and christingle making.
