Better Lambeth - Jobs and skills

Hundreds of Lambeth business owners, start-ups, entrepreneurs and managers are expected to attend this year’s Lambeth Means Business event on Tuesday 1 July at Lambeth Town Hall.

Main post content

The event, which is co-hosted by the Federation of Small Business and Lambeth Council, promises a packed agenda designed to innovate and inspire the borough’s business community.

There will be seminars from expert speakers and topics include why Lambeth is THE place to run a business, how to manage your online reputation or how to make a 30 second sales pitch. There will be a Natwest start-up surgery and a one-to-one advice clinic, where you can book a free 15-minute appointment with a range of professionals, including lawyers, financial advisors and more.

With two speed networking sessions and informal networking across the day, you’ll be encouraged to meet new clients, suppliers, partners and other business professionals.

Over 50 exhibitors will help you to find out about the support available in the borough for existing businesses and for anyone interested in starting up on their own.

Feedback from last year’s event, which was attended by Chuka Umunna MP and Lord Green, Shadow Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, included “Most useful business expo I have been to in Lambeth in recent years – with relevant, genuinely useful information.”
