Lambeth Question Time is back – jobs, skills and business

If you’re a Lambeth entrepreneur, if you’ve taken on an apprentice, if you’ve been looking for a job or thinking about what to do with yourself after school or A-Levels, if you have something to say about opportunity in the borough – we want to hear from you.

Should we invest in more training centres like Green Man Skills Zone? How about online training opportunities?

What do you think of apprenticeships – are they too hard to get, should there be more of them? What’s your experience been as a business or a job seeker?

Tell the people who run Lambeth Council what we should invest in and what’s best for you and the community.

The debate – who’ll be there

Lambeth cabinet and councillors – the people who make decisions about the borough and what we invest in – will be taking part in the debate on 28 January at the full council meeting, and it’s chaired by Councillor Jack Hopkins, cabinet member for jobs and growth.

They’ll be joined by a panel of experts:

Jeanette Pritchard – chair trustee of Brand Amplifier, boosting female entrepreneurs, and head of Brixton-based brand consultancy JPC

Paris Peckgravefounder of Kaleidoscope Training, Education and Recruitment

Colin Crooks – social entrepreneur and author of ‘How to Make a Million Jobs’, a charter for social enterprise.

You’re welcome to come along to the debate, it’s open to the public and it’s at Lambeth Town Hall – 28 January from 7pm. Let us know you’re coming – email us. We’ll be publishing all of the panel and cabinet’s answers after the meeting.
