Local schoolchildren, councillors, a farmer and a property developer all gathered last week (November 2014) to lead the ground breaking for St Oswald’s Place in Vauxhall under the watchful gaze of a herd of alpacas.

The ceremony marks a significant step in the regeneration of Vauxhall and will deliver family-sized affordable council homes as well as exceptional new facilities for the local community.

The new affordable homes demonstrate Lambeth’s commitment to social housing which is backed by record investment and a pledge to build over 1,000 additional homes at council rents over the next four years.

Vauxhall consultation opens
Also in November, a consultation on proposals to transform Vauxhall Cross opened. You can take part in the consultation online until 19 December at tfl.gov.uk/vauxhall-cross
