Creating more, good quality jobs and training opportunities for local residents is a top priority in Lambeth.  That’s why job creation will be the focus of a committee meeting on Tuesday, 7 October.

Quality jobs for local residents

The committee wants to look at how all agencies support local people into good quality jobs and what more could be done to maximise employment opportunities for Lambeth residents.  It wants to hear from local residents, employers, council officers and partners about the best ways of making this happen.

When and where

Tuesday, 7 October 2014 at the Carmelita Centre, 41 Vauxhall Walk, SE11 5JT

  • 6pm-7pm – council officers and local employers will be on hand to answer individual queries about local employment opportunities
  • 7pm-9pm – the Overview and Scrutiny Committee will meet in public to discuss job creation and other issues
