This month sees the launch of the 2016 Lambeth Community Pride Awards. Find out what this year’s categories are and how to nominate on page 6

On page 7 we have two important reasons why you should register to vote. The Mayor of London elections and European Union referendum take place this year and to have your say you must be registered to vote.

We are about to launch a community plan for Lambeth that will set out our vision for the borough. Find out what this means for Lambeth on page 8.

On page 9 we bring you news of new cycle ‘Quietways’ that are designed for cyclists who want to get around on quieter, low-traffic routes.

Lambeth, like most London boroughs, suffers from poor air quality. Find out what we are doing to improve things and how you can help too. See pages 10 and 11.

This month, we introduce a new regular feature called Housing news for Lambeth Council housing tenants and leaseholders. See pages 12- 15.

In our regular ‘From the community’ feature on page 16, we hear from London Fire Brigade. They tell us how they are supporting young people in the borough and share some great advice on how to stay fire safe at home.

In our regular what’s on guide, pages 16 to 17, you’ll find a variety of events taking place in the borough.
