Have you ever wanted in-depth details of Lambeth’s financial position? Or the housing crisis? Or just how the council is spending the borough’s money? theBALANCE issue 25 is out NOW!

Main post content

September’s instalment of theBALANCE unveils the four strands of the Better Lambeth campaign, detailing what we as a council are doing to improve Lambeth’s schools, homes, streets and jobs, and how residents can get involved.

Also featuring in this edition are details on how Lambeth is making the borough’s streets better, including updates on Lambeth’s road resurfacing programme, Father Nature’s greening work and news of big investment in Myatt’s Field and Streatham Common parks. There’s also information on a new competition that Lambeth Council and Brixton BID have launched to design the new mural for Brixton bridge.

On top of that, there’s a host of other news, including the approval of a new school for children on the autism spectrum, updates on the future of Lambeth Archives, a new virtual parking permit scheme that is coming to the borough and information on Lambeth’s GCSE results and secondary school applications.

And if all of that isn’t enough, then you can also read Derek’s story on the work we are doing to improve employment prospects across Lambeth through the Workwise scheme and the opening of a new community hub on one of our estates.
