Celebrate pride and progress with Lambeth for LGBTQ+ History Month

As well as a time to recognise the struggles and successes of LGBTQ+ people, LGBTQ+ History Month is a step on the journey to bringing Pride ‘home’ to Lambeth.

Cllr Donatus Anyanwu, Lambeth’s Cabinet Member for Stronger Communities, said: “History Month serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of diversity, inclusion, and the ongoing fight for equality. Lambeth’s History Month events in our libraries, or organised by the community, help inspire a more inclusive and understanding environment for everyone.”

Celebrations in Lambeth Libraries

• Is That a Boy’s Toy? Art Exhibition explores gender, sexuality, and society’s expectations from the very moment we hold our first toys. Lambeth Links, the local forum for the LGBTQ+ community, are hosting History Month events celebrating 40 Years of Pride in Lambeth:
