Blooming Lambeth Awards: Nominate your favourite community growers and gardeners

The awards are open until July 18, ahead of a glittering ceremony at Lambeth Town Hall in November this year. Nominations can be made at incredibleediblelambeth.org.

Incredible Edible Lambeth, a partner of Lambeth Council, works to support local food growing, food entrepreneurs and food activism.

Growers can gain recognition for their garden, whether it’s a new or ongoing project. All award entrants will be invited to a celebration event and photo exhibition in Brockwell Hall in November.

Cllr Ciara Alleyne, Lambeth’s Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Climate Emergency and Future Generations, said:

“I’d encourage local people to enter projects for an award, so we can celebrate those going above and beyond for our communities.

“This is a joyful celebration of our community growers and gardeners with a serious message about how the climate crisis is creating warmer temperatures and disrupting our food system.

“With that in mind, I’m pleased to see the excellent range of award categories includes ‘climate-friendly gardening’ in recognition of this situation.”

Residents, gardening groups, schools and youth groups are invited to apply to the following categories:

  • Food growing excellence
  • Climate-friendly gardening
  • Community engagement
  • Food growing by children and young people
  • Gardens in bloom (for home gardens and allotments)

Nominations are open until Saturday 18 July 2026. Full details on how to apply, head to Blooming Lambeth Awards 2026
