Finalists for Lambeth Civic Awards 2024 announced

For the Lambeth Civic Awards, residents of Lambeth were asked to nominate local individuals, groups and organisations that do amazing work in the borough. The awards aim to recognise and celebrate the incredible work that Lambeth’s community does to help others.

During the six-week nomination period Lambeth Council received over 370 nominations for the 11 categories. Our panel, comprised of community partners and Lambeth Council Leaders, shortlisted the candidates to five/six per category. We will announce the winners at our Award Ceremony in February 2024.

Cllr Claire Holland, Leader of the Council, said: “Our vibrant business community and our passionate voluntary sector are essential to making Lambeth what it is. They all care deeply about Lambeth and helping it to thrive.

I want to say a big thank you to everyone who works tirelessly to makes Lambeth an amazing place to live in. I’m excited to celebrate in February with the finalists and winners”.

Cllr Donatus Anyanwu, Cabinet Member for Stronger Communities, Leisure, and Sport, said: “Our communities are amazing, and we want to make sure we celebrate them. We received some truly heart-warming stories, so I wanted to thank everyone who nominated for the Awards.

“Congratulations to the finalists, but also a huge thank you to all the organisations and people around Lambeth who do incredible work, even if they were not finalised. I look forward to celebrating with the winners and finalists in February”.
