Residents, community groups, businesses, and partners are invited to share their views on how they want their neighbourhoods shaped to be improved over the next 15 years. You can get involved via in-person pop-up events at key locations across the borough, online group sessions, or the online survey.
Cllr Scott Ainslie, Lambeth’s Cabinet Member for Planning and Development, Built Environment, and Public Realm, said: We want to build better places for the people of Lambeth, and that starts with listening to them, not talking at them.
“We need you at the table to tell us the changes you want to see happen within the parameters of the Local Plan, so come and to tell us what’s not working, what needs to improve, and how you want to stay involved as this plan takes shape over the next 30 months.
“We are not doing a box-ticking exercise; the themes we have set out, from housing to climate to how people get around, will only mean something if they are shaped by real experience on the ground. Get involved, have your say and hold us to it.
“This will be a plan designed by communities, with residents playing a key role in shaping their neighbourhoods and delivering community wealth building across Lambeth.”
The first stage of the Local Plan seeks views on what issues should be included to shape and improve the borough: housing, community facilities, jobs, climate, getting around, and high-quality design and heritage. It will also ask people how they would like to be engaged throughout the development of the Plan.

- South Lambeth Library: Thursday 10 Sep, 15.30–19.30
- Brixton Market: Saturday 12 Sep, 11.00–15.00
- Emma Cons Gardens: Thursday 17 Sep, 12.00–16.00
- Brockwell Park: Sunday 27 Sep, 11.00–15.00
- Clapham High Street: Thursday 1 Oct, 14.00–18.00
- West Norwood Library: Sunday 4 Oct, 12.00–16.00
- Streatham Library: Tuesday 6 Oct, 15.30–19.30
There will also be an in-person community workshop for resident at the Lambeth Assembly Hall on Tuesday 15 September from 18.30- 20.30, an online community workshop for residents on Thursday 8 October from 18.30 until 20.30 and a business specific workshop on Tuesday 22 September from 18.00 until 20.00. Following the end of this consultation period, the initial findings will be worked up for the next stages of the Local Plan consultation process which will take place next year.
