Home Grown Food Festival at Myatts Field Parks

Local hero Levi Roots will be live on stage from 3pm with salsa band Sarabanda providing free live music from 1pm.

Food grown in local food projects in Myatt’s Fields Park, housing estates and Papas Park will be on sale both as whole organic vegetables and fruit, and also prepared into salads, soups and Caribbean delicacies. A host of different foods will be on sale from barbecues to curries, fudges to cakes.

Bee Urban will offer live bee keeping demonstrations and bee-related workshops.

Marjorie Landels, chair of Myatt’s Fields Park Project, which hosts the event said: ‘Levi loves the local food scene which includes supporting people to produce fresh, healthy home grown food. We are very grateful to him for his support’

Get involved

If you would like to get involved we would very much appreciate your help; we urgently need four volunteers to set up gazebos from 9.30am to 11am.

Also we would very much appreciate donations of cakes: all proceeds will go towards the cost of installing the parasols.

If you can help please contact Victoria Sherwin on enquiries@myattsfieldspark.info.
