Local people were able to recognise the outstanding contribution to the borough of others in nine award categories. The categories included Volunteer of the Year Award, Empowering Young People Award and Social Enterprise Award.
The nominations, which closed on 2 February after seven weeks, will now go through a judging process ahead of an award ceremony on 22 April.
Cllr Claire Holland, Leader of the Council, said: “In Lambeth we have a bold vision to put equity and justice at the heart of everything we do. Our communities are key to delivering this so I’m delighted that the community has come forward and has put in so many nominations.
“Lambeth is a brilliant place because of the people that live here, and the civic awards recognise the huge contributions made by our residents, volunteers, voluntary sector organisations and communities .
“I want to say a huge thank you to every single person who nominated.”
The nominations will be shortlisted by a panel of community partners and Lambeth Council leaders and announced by the end of February.
The award ceremony will be held on 22 April at Lambeth Town Hall in Brixton, to celebrate the finalists and announce the winners.
