Lambeth: Call for urgent action to tackle monkeypox

The letter signed by Cllr Marcia Cameron and Cllr Jim Dickson, Lambeth’s joint Cabinet Member for Health & Adult Social Care, highlights that 75 per cent of reported cases of monkeypox in the UK are in London, with most cases in three boroughs: Westminster, Southwark, and Lambeth.

They have called on the Secretary of State to create a clear strategy for more vaccine doses, to fund financial assistance for those self-isolating, more money for sexual health services to maintain services while meeting the extra challenge of monkeypox and new pan-London public messaging on monkeypox.
