Lambeth’s new Mayor, Cllr Paul Valentine, presented the nominees and winners with awards to recognise their outstanding achievements, care and commitment to their schools.
Cllr Alice Weavers, Cabinet Member for Children and Young People, was also in attendance and said: “All teachers, support staff, senior leaders, SENCOs and governors in Lambeth do so much for our children and young people. Their work truly shapes who we become as adults, and they all play a huge part in our children and young people’s lives. It was an honour to celebrate them and hear about all their amazing work supporting Lambeth pupils. Congratulations to all the winners and the runner-ups, and thank you to all of our school communities.”
The annual event shines a spotlight on the people who help children and young people learn, grow and thrive — from senior leaders and teachers to SENCOs, support staff, governors and those who make an exceptional contribution to school life. 
Cllr Paul Valentine, Mayor of Lambeth, said: “It was a pleasure to host and present awards at the Lambeth Mayor’s school awards. Our schools in Lambeth offer so much to children and young people, and those present at our awards ceremony epitomised what working with schools in Lambeth is all about. The event was also an opportunity to celebrate the schools that received a positive Ofsted inspection judgement during the 2025-26 academic year.
