The results of Lambeth Council’s local election, held on Thursday 7 May 2026, have now been announced following the completion of the official count.

Lambeth Council local election results announced

The borough wide poll was all 63 council seats across 25 wards contested at the ballot box. Following verification and counting of votes, the overall result is:

Green Party – 29 seats

Labour Party – 26 seats

Liberal Democrat Party – 8 seats

The count was held at the Oval cricket ground on Friday 8, May and Saturday 9, May following the election the previous day which saw a turn-out of 39.4 per cent.

Ward-level results, including the number of votes cast for each candidate, have been published in full on Lambeth Council’s website.

Ian Davis, the Returning Officer for Lambeth Council, said: “I want to congratulate Lambeth’s newly elected and returning councillors.

“I would also like to thank everyone who took part in this election, including voters, all the candidates and their agents.

“Putting on this election was a big task so I also wanted to thank the staff who supported the successful running of both the poll and the count.”
