International Women’s Day is on Sunday 8, March, but activities will run throughout the month to mark the moment, including workshops, talks and training opportunities for Lambeth residents.
Cllr Claire Holland OBE, the Leader of Lambeth Council, said: “While much progress has been made on the march to gender equality, there is still a long way to go until we have parity, and in much of the world women still face discrimination.
“The programme of events that both the council and our community create opportunities for us to join as a community to learn, share and make progress.
“I want to thank everyone who has contributed to the organisation of Lambeth’s International Women’s Day programme and encourage our residents to sign up and join the events planned.”
