Lambeth: Statement on the violence in the Middle East

“We utterly condemn the Hamas attacks on Israel which have claimed the lives of more than 1,500 people, left thousands more injured and many still missing. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by the ongoing horrific violence.

“Our community is deeply impacted and some are directly affected by the loss of family and friends. We are proud of the diversity of our borough and the respect our communities show each other in Lambeth. We will not tolerate anti-semitism. Racism in any form has no place in Lambeth.

“We will continue to support and work with our communities to ensure everyone feels safe in our borough. We stand united with them and are here to offer support at this tragic time.”
