Statement: Murder investigation launched after Stockwell fatality

“I will be in Stockwell with other council representatives this morning to reassure local people that we are here to support them, and of course support the police by encouraging anyone who has information that could help investigating officers to come forward and share.

“As a council we are committed to making Lambeth one of the safest boroughs in London and are working incredibly hard to play our role in ensuring the kind of violence that has so sadly claimed this young person’s life ends, and that all our young people have a secure future here.”

A crime scene and cordons remain in place while emergency services undertake their enquiries, which are ongoing. If you were a witness or have any information, please call police on 101 with the reference 4116/4MAR.

You can also contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 if you want to remain anonymous.
