Lambeth Council is retendering our contract for Voluntary & Community Sector support across the borough for two years as part of a plan to increase investment in support to the sector.
Working with our VCS is vital to supporting our communities. We’re delighted to already work with so many dedicated local people and organisations offering our residents excellent support and advice services.
High-quality support
We’ve consulted widely with the sector and we heard that current support levels should be higher so we’ve significant increased the potential contract size. We got more specific feedback that the sector wants us to ensure that the service provider can offer high-quality support, particularly in these areas:
- Organisational development
- Collaboration and VCS networks
- Support to access VCS funding
Statement from Lambeth Council
Lambeth’s Director of Strategy and Communications Ryan Devlin said: “I’m really pleased to share another great opportunity for local providers to make a huge difference to the Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) in Lambeth.
“Lambeth’s voluntary and community sector does vital work across our borough, from helping families impacted by the cost of living crisis to providing opportunities in sports, arts and culture to children and young people.
“We know how important the sector is, so we’ve doubled the size of the support contract, despite the financial challenges facing local government, to make sure our VCS organisations get the support, opportunities and information they need to thrive.
“Please come and talk to us if you’re interested in tendering – there are a couple of supplier sessions coming up in early June where we’d love to hear your views.”
Conversations with providers
We would welcome conversations with any potential providers who would like to review the documents with us. We’ll also be hosting two supplier events online for questions and information
