“Green Flag Awards are the international standard for quality parks and green spaces – and handed out by Keep Britain Tidy. Winning these awards is testament to the hard work and dedication of council staff, community partners and residents that care for our parks and green spaces.”
Green Flags
Green Flag Awards, managed by environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy under licence from the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government, recognise well-managed parks and green spaces, setting the standard for parks and around the world.
Green Flags are testament to the hard work and dedication of the partnership of council staff, community partners and residents that use and care for open spaces to make them safe, welcoming, sustainable and accessible.
Existing winners
As well as the new winners, Lambeth’s 23 existing Green Flag Award sites, two Green Heritage Award-accredited sites, and four sites with a Green Flag Community Award, all kept their status and will fly Green Flags again this year. This is wonderful news, especially for those who use, protect and look after public open spaces. Lambeth is determined to continue working to add to that total each year, showing. commitment to providing the public with a wonderful diversity of parks, commons and green spaces.
