Lambeth: book your spot for the Holiday Activities and Food programme

Lambeth’s Summer Holiday Activities and Food Programme offers Lambeth young people aged 4-16 on benefits-related free school meals, fun and activities as well as a free healthy meal during the summer holidays.

The programme, which runs from 28 July to 29 August, is funding 66 clubs across Lambeth, and has close to three thousand places available for eligible Lambeth Children.

Councillor Ben Kind, Member for Children, Families and Education said: “Our Holiday Activities and Food programme is a vital part of supporting families in Lambeth, especially during the summer holidays when pressures on parents can be high.

This year, we’re investing over £1 million to help local organisations run 66 clubs right across the borough, creating thousands of opportunities for children and young people to enjoy safe, fun activities and healthy meals. It’s about a chance to thrive, be active, and feel included.

I know how important this support is for families who are juggling work, rising living costs, and busy family life. We’re committed to making sure children and young people have the best summer possible, and that parents have local, affordable options they can rely on.”

The programme, which is funded by the Department for Education, also runs in the Winter and Spring holidays.

Further information on the programme can be found on the Lambeth website, and parents can book their summer activities from now on the new platform.
