The Virtual Lambeth Country Show is nearly upon us on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 July. It will be filled with an array of wonderful entertainment including dance, singing, workshops, poetry, talks and virtual tours that you can watch, enjoy, and all still be a part of. We look forward to ‘virtually’ seeing you there.
Virtual Flower Show Schedule
This is including the much loved and popular Virtual Flower show Schedule. Run in conjunction with the Lambeth Horticultural Society there are 20 different classes you can still enter. Virtual Flower show Schedule Classes include : Flower and pot plant exhibits – Fruit and vegetables exhibits – Floral art exhibits – Children’s exhibits – Domestic exhibits – Handicraft exhibits.
Vegetable Sculpture Competition
Not forgetting the highly anticipated Vegetable Sculpture Competition (Class 14). The Vegetable Sculpture class normally attracts unrivalled interest and queues around the block from people itching to see these Vegetable Sculpture Competition amazing vegetable pieces of art – not forgetting puns galore. All entries will be displayed in an online gallery and judged by the public. 1st prize is a £100 voucher.
All classes of the competition are open to amateur exhibitors only. Only one entry per class is allowed. Full details on classes can be found in the Flower Show Schedule.
Recycled Garden Competition
As always, there is no specific theme for this competition. You can use any type of recycled container for your garden; an old wheelbarrow, a shopping crate, a washing up bowl or even an old tyre. You can plant anything from a mini vegetable plot to a flower bed. All entries will be displayed in an online gallery and judged by the public. 1st prize is a £100 voucher.
Last year’s winner was the incredibly creative ‘Tomatoes on Tap!’ using an old kitchen sink as a giant pot for tomato plants.

Scarecrow Competition
What’s a scarecrow’s favourite fruit? A straw-berry!
As with the Recycled Garden Competition, there will be no theme for this competition, so the possibilities for your scarecrows are endless. It’s time to get your thinking caps on and be as creative as possible. Remember… we love a good pun. All entries will be displayed in an online gallery and judged by the public. First prize is £100 in vouchers. Congratulations again to Oscar O. who won the 2020 Virtual Scarecrow Competition with his entry ‘Straw de France’.
