The walk-in service is open from 10am – 1pm and 2pm – 5pm both days and will run alongside the booked clinic at this venue near the Oval in Lambeth.
Dr George Verghese, GP at the Waterloo Health Centre and Clinical Director of North Lambeth Primary Care Network, said: “We know many of our patients struggle to book an appointment because of work or family commitments so the walk-in service is a great alternative for anyone eligible who hasn’t yet had their first COVID-19 vaccination.
“If you have any concerns, healthcare professionals will be able to speak to you and reassure you about any queries you might have about the vaccine.
“For most people, the risk of hospitalisation and death from getting Covid-19 is far greater than having the vaccination.
“Vaccination is the best way to protect you, your family and friends from Covid-19 and has already saved thousands of lives. Please take advantage of this excellent walk-in vaccination service and get vaccinated.”
Although first dose vaccinations are now available to anyone over the age of 45, these walk-in clinics are focused on those aged 50+ and residents who are clinically vulnerable, as well as front line health and care workers.
To find out if you are eligible, please visit the Public Health England website. Residents aged 45+ can easily book using the National Booking system or by calling 119.
