Lambeth Leader’s message to communities following the Manchester synagogue attack

“In Lambeth, we stand united with our Jewish community in rejecting all forms of violence, terror and hate, including antisemitism.

“On this incredibly sad day our hearts go out to everyone affected by this appalling terrorism, particularly those who are grieving for the loss of loved ones.

“I have reached out to the South London Liberal Synagogue and members of the Jewish community this morning to offer condolences and support on behalf of the people of Lambeth.

“I have also sought reassurance from our borough’s Met police that security will be stepped up to ensure our Jewish community receive the protection they need.

“We are all in shock at this devastating attack in Manchester. But we are determined to remain steadfast and united and face down those who seek to divide and harm us.”
