Open House London is the world’s largest architecture festival, giving free public access to 800+ buildings, walks, talks and tours over the weekend of 21 and 22 September.
Cheviot Gardens – modern retirement living
This year’s Open House theme is ‘social’: social infrastructure, social communities, social housing. Lambeth participates with great buildings, old and new. This year we recommend a tour at Cheviot Gardens: take a sneaky peek at modern retirement living. The residents, the Architect and the team from Notting Hill Genesis will provide tours of this stunning scheme throughout the afternoon. See inside one of the 84 apartments designed for later life, the lounges, restaurant and café, chat to residents and hear about the flexible on site care which is enabling people to live independently while also receiving care when they need it. The scheme is fully accessible.
