A series of events have already been held across Lambeth to hold community conversations about the topic.
That included community dinners at the Streatham Space Project, the Garden Museum in Vauxhall and finally at the Karibu Centre in Brixton over the summer. They saw local people come together, enjoy a meal, and contribute to the important conversation about the future of our borough at night.
The Future at night
The discussions held will help shape the borough’s new Night Time Strategy and ensure it focuses on addressing local concerns, aspirations and ideas.
Cllr Marcia Cameron, Lambeth’s Cabinet Member for Economic Inclusion, said: “Engaging the community in this unique way has been really inspiring. These dinners have allowed residents to come together, share their experiences, and actively shape a safer, more vibrant Lambeth at night.
“I’m optimistic about the future of our borough at night, and it’s clear that when we work together, we can create a night time environment that reflects the needs and hopes of everyone who calls Lambeth home.”
Get involved
While the dinners have concluded, there are still ways to get involved and input via online surveys. We’d still love to hear your thoughts –
