After celebrating our 40th birthday in style last year, we knew we had a lot to live up to this year and we have done a fab job in putting together a mix of music, food and fun to rival any of our previous Shows!
Saturday performers at the Brockwell Park event include 70’s soul disco act Odyssey, famous for their many hits including ‘Back to my roots’, and ‘Use it up and wear it out’. They are joined by traditional African jazz group Frititi featuring Ghanaian drumming sensation Ni Tagoe. Kenyatta Hill of legendary Reggae band Culture will be leading the party on the Sunday, with reggae groups Misty in Roots and Rasites also taking to the main stage.
As well as enjoying the music, visitors can enjoy a variety of exciting activities at different ‘zones’ throughout the weekend including the all-new Eco-Zone, where you’ll find energy producing boutique toilets, our on-site beehive and local environmental organisations. The Eco-Action games will also be there for children of all ages to get involved and learn about caring for the planet.
With the show open till 8pm this year too, it really is the London festival not to be missed!
We’ll be posting more blog posts about theshow in the run up to the event. We also have much more information about the show line ups and activities over at www.lambethcountryshow.co.uk so take a look.
