Celebrating Car Free Day with music and a roller disco

What is Car Free Day?

Car Free Day is an international event celebrated every September in which people are encouraged to get around without cars and instead ride a train, bus, bicycle, carpool, tube or walk.

Party in the street with us

To celebrate Car Free Day, part of Loughborough Road will be transformed on Sunday 21 September into a roller disco, with face-painting, music and a carnival atmosphere.

This section of Loughborough Road SW9 next to Wyck Gardens is also under consultation for some potential changes in the future, so what better way to get local people involved in this process than to have a party to celebrate how an area can be better used than as a car park and a thoroughfare?
