Lambeth householders who signed up to the Big London Energy Switch in February have saved an average of £236. Another auction is planned in May and you could be part of this.
The Big London Energy Switch includes a number of London authorities working together to get a better deal on electricity and gas for residents through an auction process. The company offering the cheapest deal on the day gets to offer you a new contract. However, there is no obligation to sign up to a new provider, so you have nothing to lose by registering.
Key dates for the next auction:
18 May – deadline for registration
19 May – auction starts and the company offering the cheapest deal on the day gets to offer you a new contract.
29 May – personal offer letter sent to you showing if you will save money. Only then do you have to decide whether you wish to accept the offer.
29 June – if you wish to accept the offer, your contract must be returned by this date.
