Run for Team Lambeth in the London Youth Games

Lambeth invites young runners/athletes to try out for Team Lambeth and to represent the Borough in the Cross Country competition at this year’s London Youth Games. The London Youth Games Cross Country Event will take place on Saturday 18 November

How to Qualify

To win your chance of being selected, we need to know your run/race time.

Cross country runner?

send in your run time from a cross-country or Parkrun

 If you’re already competing in cross-country races, send in your qualifying time’ from a race you’ve already done, rather than having to run another race.

Not a regular cross-country runner?

If you don’t compete in regular cross-country events races, please submit your run time from a local Parkrun, Power of 10 or a club track meet time. You will need to register online (http://www.parkrun.org.uk/register/) before your first race. It can be a full 5k parkrun or a 2k junior parkrun. You will only need to register once to get a unique bar code and take with you to your run otherwise your time cannot be accredited. Parkrun volunteers scan your bar code at the finish line to record who you are and where you finish within your age group.

Send us your best run time

Wherever you get your (hopefully) qualifying time from, email your race time to LYG@lambeth.gov.uk including your:

• First/Surname
• School Name
• Date of Birth
• School Year
• Address
• Post Code
• Contact/Guardian name and email

Closing date is 16 October. Please remember that you must either go to a school in Lambeth or live in the borough to be able to run for Team Lambeth in the London Youth Games.
