From Saturday 23 December until Monday 1 January 2018, there will be changes to rail services across London and the south-east while Network Rail continues to transform north-south travel through London as part of the Thameslink Programme.
Southeastern, Thameslink, Gatwick Express and Southern services will be affected (so will other train operators, with no National Rail services on Christmas Day or Boxing Day).
Thameslink
Cross-London services
- From 23 December to 1 January, Thameslink services will terminate at Blackfriars, Victoria or London Bridge from the south, and St Pancras International, from the north. There will be no service at City Thameslink or Farringdon.
Streatham to Sutton routes
- On 23 and 24 December, also on 30 December to 1 January, there will be no Thameslink service between Streatham and Sutton via Mitcham Junction.
- On Sunday 31 December and Monday 1 January, there will be no train service between Streatham and Sutton via Wimbledon.

Southern
London Bridge services
A reduced service will operate to and from London Bridge 27 December to 1 January. There will be no service at Redhill and replacement buses between Purley and Horley via Redhill and between Redhill and Tonbridge/Reigate.

Southeastern
Southeastern services will not run to or from Cannon Street, Charing Cross, Waterloo East, London Bridge, Deptford, Greenwich, Maze Hill, Westcombe Park, New Cross and St Johns 23 December to 1 January.
Victoria is expected to be very busy, especially during peak times on 27, 28 and 29 December and passengers are strongly advised to avoid these times if possible.
A significantly reduced service on a changed timetable will operate to Victoria, Blackfriars and Waterloo 27 – 29 December.
