Young parent support group

The young parenting support group is an opportunity for young parents to:

  • discuss various topics affecting them
  • meet new people
  • learn and develop personal skills
  • promote their well-being in a non-judgemental and supportive forum

All weekly sessions are structured starting with the Welcome (registration, introduction and refreshments) followed by (ice breaker session/whole group engagement discussion) the topic discussed will be chosen by the group i.e. Benefits, Housing, parenting style etc. Other benefits include guest speakers and sign posting to other professional services.

The venue has a fully equipped crèche facility so young children are welcomed to enjoy the play area giving their parents a chance to relax and sample nutritional dishes which can be cooked at home.
